DELCAMBRE SHRIMP FESTIVAL QUEEN AGREEMENT                          
                                                                                                                                                   

       Upon acceptance of the title of Delcambre Shrimp Queen let it be known that it is an honor, responsibility and
       commitment for one year to represent the Delcambre Shrimp Festival at various functions.

 

• I agree that I am between the ages of 18-23 by August 1^st, a resident of the State of Louisiana for at least 9 months, have never been married, nor had a child.
• I agree to spend the 3^rd full weekend in August participating in the Delcambre Shrimp Festival from Friday night thru Sunday at 2pm.
• I agree to be courteous, conducting myself in a lady like manner at all times.
• I agree not to consume alcohol or smoke while representing the Delcambre Shrimp Festival.  Removal of crown and banner while attending a festival does not exempt me from my responsibility.
• I agree to be respectful during an event and not to use my cell phone for texting or talking.
• I agree to be respectful to others and social websites.
• I agree not to compete for any other title during my reign except for LAFF Queen of Queens.  Competing at Queen of Queens is at my own expense.  At this time I DO NOT have a title of any sort. A school title that DOES NOT allow you to contunue
  to another level of competition is acceptable. (ex: homecoming queen, prom queen). I will ONLY wear the crown & banner awarded to me. Competing for Queen of Queens is at my own expense.
• I agree to report plans for travel to the directors upon my response to each festival and have an adult over the age of 21 (if you are under 21) accompany me at all times unless approved by the directors.  I will be under the direct supervision of the pageant directors.
• I agree to send monthly reports with travel and appearances to Hedi Frederick.
• I agree to allow the Delcambre Shrimp Festival to use my information and photographs to promote the festival.
• I agree the Delcambre Shrimp Festival and pageant directors are not responsible for loss of personal belongings, accidents or illnesses during my travels.
• I agree to keep all receipts for travel and postage pertaining to my trvels while representing the Delcambre Shrimpt
  Festival. These must be turned in with my travel report. I understand that reimbursement is not a guarantee and will
  be based on the Board's discretion.
• I will record my outgoing speech with the Shrimp Festival providing the services.
• I agree to take the best care of the crown, scepter & banner.  If any damage occurs during my reign I must notify the directors and I am responsible for the repair cost.  I CAN NOT repair any of the items myself nor hire someone to repair them for me.  The replacement cost of the crown is $2,000.00, the replacement cost for the scepter is $1000.00 and the cost of the train & mantle is $3,000.00.

• I agree to attend at least twenty (20) LAFF festivals.  I am required to attend the following eleven (11) festival's
  and stay for the duration of the events associated with the particular weekend.

           If at any time the above agreement is broken I agree to forfeit the title crown, banner & gifts.  All property
           and awards must be returned to the Delcambre Shrimp Festival.  The Delcambre Shrimp Festival Board has
           the right to determine anyone ineligible to compete. .
